Achilles kindly came out to play some music today. Playing music is a great way to start the week.

I'm missing these gorgeous, UNREAL views in Ireland! My bodhran is my newest musical toy, YouTube is my best friend during this learning process. Hoping to acquire some bodhran skills to bring to a music session this fall. 

Two weeks ago I went on a street performing road trip and had an amazing trip visiting cities such as St. Augustine, Savannah and Nashville. I listened to an incredible array of music and witnessed some new tour spots for the band.

We spent some time yesterday at the Dingle Music Shop! This kitty was a champ, completely unfazed by the noise that a gang of musicians will inevitably cause when they enter a music shop. 

For the longest time I have wanted my own Irish tenor banjo. Today Noel Morrisey and I travelled to Galway to check out a local banjo maker and I fell in love with this banjo. It is completely handmade in Ireland from the man that I bought it from. After hearing about this shop for over two weeks I had to purchase a Clareen banjo and I am thoroughly impressed.
